Re-entry 1

There are signs of a re-entry in ‘PO,’ the crown, and above the top frameline near the centre.

This is the nicest re-entry I have seen on this value.

Courtesy of Dave Noss.

Just added a lovely plate proof of this re-entry. Only 600 proofs were printed, at 50 stamps per sheet, so there are only 12 copies of this re-entry on  a proof in existence.

Saskatoon Stamp Centre has just provided me with a scan of this re-entry in a vertical plate proof pair (seen below) with top selvedge. The re-entry is on the lower of the two, narrowing its position on the plate of 50 to between positions 6 through 10.

Re-entry 2

Plate Position #44

There are many interesting signs of a re-entry in all of the letters of POSTAGE and the white portrait oval below it. There is also a strong mark in the lower right arm of the large central V.

Saskatoon Stamp Centre has kindly provided scans of two copies of this re-entry that they have handled (the two close-ups seen below are the two different copies).

Paul Chiles of Quebec recently discovered a lower right corner block of six (3 X 2) showing this re-entry as the centre stamp of the upper three, placing it in plate position #44 on the sheet of 50. The block and close-up of the stamp are shown to the right.

NOTE: I have just acquired a copy of this re-entry BUT it ALSO has a SLIP PRINT! This is a good example of how re-entries and slip prints can BOTH occur on the SAME stamp!

The stamp below shows this re-entry, but combined with a slip print! There is a close-up below the full stamp scan.

Re-entry 3

This is another re-entry on the 6¢ with doubling found in CANADA. Earl Noss reported this re-entry and also has a second copy to show it is constant (see below).
