KING EDWARD VII ISSUE Re-entries Two Cents Carmine
This page is for ‘normal’ re-entries - not misplaced entires, nor major re-entries, but re-entries showing typical types of doubling. These can range from Strong to Normal to Minor, of which there are a great many. |

Scott #90 Re-entry & Retouch This re-entry is somewhat close to a major due to the doubling in ‘O CE’, but I decided to include it here. The lower left and lower right spandrels show nice doubling, including parts of the two lowest leaves. The bottom lines of both numeral boxes also show heavy retouching. Two examples are shown here.

Scott #90 Re-entry This is what I would call a more ‘normal’ type of re-entry...the outer vertical frameline of the lower right numeral box is sharply doubled, along with the inner vertical line and both little leaves. The lower left spandrel also shows slight doubling of the bottom of the numeral box and part of the leaf to its right.

Scott #90 Re-entry This is somewhat similar to the above stamp, except in this case the bottom line of the right numeral box (RNB) is clearly doubled with some thickening of the bottom line of the left numeral box (LNB) and the bottom frameline below. The right bottom frameline under the ‘N’ of CENTS also shows a large bulge due to heavy retouching.

*8 | Scott #90 Re-entry Here we have a re-entry that shows in both LL and LR spandrels, though stronger on the left, with slight doubling above in the ‘TWO’.

*14 | Scott #90 Re-entry Another one, similar to #9 and #11 above.

*15 | Scott #90 Re-entry This is one with doubling of the upper area of the design, with doubling of the upper frameline and in and above ‘ADA POST’. This could well be a major.

*16 | Scott #90 Re-entry This is another example of doubling of the lower right corner and slight doubling of the lower left. Two copies are shown.

*17 | Scott #90 Re-entry Another lower right corner with heavily retouched numeral box lines.

*18 | Scott #90 Re-entry Yet another copy of lower right doubling, including the 2 and bottom left corner of the frame. The top centre are also shows some doubling.

*19 | Scott #90 Re-entry This is one with strong doubling of the lower left corner, for a change, with sharp duplication of the top and bottom of the numeral box, as well as ‘O CE’ and the bottom of the portrait oval. This one could also be a major.

*20 | Scott #90 Re-entry Another example of slight doubling of the outer frameline of the right numeral box.

*21 | Scott #90 Re-entry Another example of slight doubling of the right numeral box, with an extended bottom retouch. The bottom left of the left numeral box shows a very slight doubled corner. The vertical line and heavy dot in the margin below the left corner are likely just markings on the plate that should have been erased.

*22 | Scott #90 Re-entry This is one shows doubling of the bottom of the portrait oval and the ‘O CE’ below it. The bottom line of the lower left spandrel is doubled on the right, below the ‘O’, while the bottom frameline below it looks retouched.

*23 | Scott #90 Re-entry An interesting one with doubling down the left side of the design, showing doubling of the upper frameline of the upper left spandrel, as well as the ‘WO C’ and the lower left corner spandrel. The left side of the numeral box appears thickened by a retouch.

*24 | Scott #90 Re-entry This is another nice doubling of the lower right spandrel details.

*25 | Scott #90 Re-entry And another one showing a doubled lower right spandrel with retouched bottom and right frames, along with the lower right corner of the outer frameline.
