Ten Cents Prince Albert
The Ten Cents Decimal has a number of fine varieties, including one of Canada's most interesting stamps, the Double Epaulettes variety, which is actually a gorgeous major misplaced entry with the design being out of alignment by a full half a stamp. There are also a couple of nice major re-entries and a few lesser types as well. John Jamieson of Saskatoon Stamp Centre recently provided me with a set of high-resolution scans of all of the 10¢ varieties taken from his full proof sheet of 100. I have replaced many of the scans taken from actual stamps with these marvelously sharp images from the proofs to more clearly show the re-entry details. Keep in mind that the details on the actual stamps are often less clear and not so obvious as those on the proofs. My sincere thanks to John for providing these scans.

Double Epaulettes
Major Misplaced Entry

This is the finest copy of this gorgeous Misplaced Entry that I have ever seen. As you may already know, the entire design was misplaced upwards or downwards a full half-stamp in height. The 'epaulettes' on Albert's shoulders are actually portions of 'CANADA POSTAGE.' Many other details can be found, including the UL corner of the frame extending out into the margin at left centre.
The B&W overlay photo to the right (below the first photo) shows the relative positions of the two entries, with the misplaced design a full half-stamp away from its proper position.

This major is very subtle, with faint doubling in numerous letters, particularly the 'C' in CENTS. There are also marks in both lower X's, with the left tips of each one crossing the inner frameline.

This major is even more subtle than the first. Faint markings are found in the letters of CENTS, as well as below the 'C' in the white oval. The bottom left tip of the lower right corner 'X' is doubled into the white space between the frames.
